I doubt a lot of you know that the July 7th is the "official day of the yukata", at least in Japan. Now, what you know for sure is that Oricon likes to do survey about anything and everything. This time they asked the younger generations (10-30) about which celebrities look the best in a beautiful casual summer kimono, known as the yukata. While Oricon asked about both, female and male celebrities, I’m only going to go into the detail for the female celebrities as usual.
A smile as summer-esque as a yukata, actress and singer Aragaki Yui, also known as Gakky got most of the votes and ranked 1st, but there are more clear reasons why she took the first place. "She has black hair, white skind and a slender figure." The 3 main categories for looking good in a yukata, it seems. "She has the image of a young woman who displays the feminine virtues of old Japan."
Miyazaki Aoi didn’t get the first place for once, but there’s no doubt about that she looks just as beautiful in a yukata. "Yukatas totally suit her. She’s so pure and adorable." Just like Gakky, she’s known for her really cute and bright smiling face and you simply have to have a nice smile when wearing a yukata. "Yukatas only suit women with a beautiful smile just like her." Third place is for Horikita Maki who seems to have the perfect face for a yukata and right now can be seen in one for the most recent "docomo" commercial. "Her slender figure and small face look good with a yukata."

I thought it must be Maki. She is the most beautiful in kimono or yukata.
I would have thought that Miyazaki Aoi had this in the bag for sure. But I guess the “Atsuhime-factor” is beginning to wear off a bit.
Anyway, congrats to Yui and thanks to HP for translating!
Keep up the superb work , I read few blog posts on this internet site and I believe that your web site is rattling interesting and contains sets of good information .
