On Tuesday, actress Kawashima Umika (15) went to the Kanda Shrine in Tokyo to pray for the success of her first starring movie "Keitai Kareshi". She and her co-actors appeared in the frame of a gigantic 1.5m x 3m mobile phone.
"Keita Kareshi" is a suspense love story based on a popular cellphone novel. In the movie Kawashima is going to have her first "love scene" together with young ikemen actor Ishiguro Hideo (20). She also gave a quite mature comment about her own performance. "I would give myself a score of 90, it’s my first starring role so there’s still a lot to improve." Ishiguro was impressed as well, "She has a lot of courage and you can’t see that it’s her first starring role at all." Actress Asakura Aki (17), who plays a close friend of her, also has nothing but praises about her acting. "I even had the chance to learn a lot of things from her."
The movie will be out on October 24.
