Today actress Kitagawa Keiko (23) announced the completion of her new movie "Hana no Ato" that is going to get released on March 13th 2010. For this PR-event she appeared in a gorgeous kimono.
The movie is based on a short story by famous novelist Fujisawa Shuuhei and will be Kitagawa’s first role in a historical play. She’s playing a woman fencer who wants to avenge the death of her first love. "I’ve practiced sword play for more than half a year. However, the most fun about this movie is that I basically was able to grow up together with my role."
Her first love is being played the ballet dancer Miyao Shuntarou (25), Japan’s so-called ballet prince. In August several magazines reported about an on-going relationship between Kitagawa and Miyao, but neither of them confirmed it so far.
Now reporters subtly asked her about her love life again, but Kitagawa remained silent and only smiled back. People involved in the making of the movie, however, report that they got close during the filming and eventually started to go out with each other.
