The 17 year-old newcomer Asano Kaya, a junior of Horikita Maki and Kuroki Meisa is going to make her dorama debut in the upcoming season. She won Sweet Power’s 1st talent audition back in 2006 and will appear in NHK’s new dorama "Tomehane!" (Wed.08pm) that is starting on January 7.
The dorama is set at calligraphy club at a senior highschool and stars the 18 year-old Asakura Aki (Puzzle, Godhand Teru) as a senior of Asano. With a smile and full of ambition Asano talked about her dorama debut. "It’s my first time having the responsibility to appear in a dorama series, so I’m very nervous. In the future I’d like to become an actress who will be capable of playing a wide variety of roles." We can only wish for her dream come true and hope that she will make herself a name just like her two seniors at her agency mentioned above.
