About 2 months ago it was announced that actress Narumi Riko (17) will have the starring role in the upcoming NHK period dorama called "Sakuya Knohana". The dorama will start on January 9 and today the leading cast including Narumi showed themselves with the kimonos worn throughout the series.
As you already know, it’s Narumi’s first role in a historical movie or dorama and therefore she had to learn the gestures of that era as well as things like waka, classic Japanese poems. "I basically didn’t know anything at all." It was a tough challenge, but she didn’t give up. "Every day I practiced very hard, but also moments like the fitting for the kimonos helped me to get familiar with everything."
Matsuzaka Keiko (57) and Hiraoka Yuuta (27) will also appear in the dorama and showed themselves wearing a kimono as well.
