The start of Kimura Takuya's (37) new dorama "Tsuki no Koibito" is still one month away, but a recent survey shows that the interest in his dorama is already surpassing the popularity of NHK's "Ryoma den".
Mobile Factory asked more than 1000 members of their blogging service "Blomotion" about the upcoming spring doramas. They wanted to know what dorama they are definitely going to watch this season and gave them the main 10 (of 19 in total) titles to choose from. More than 500 people voted for "Tsuki no Koibito" while the already running "Ryoma den" only received about 450 votes despite its very high popularity. The new dorama starring Ueno Juri (23) and Eita (27), "Sunao ni Narenakute", made it on the third place with around 370 votes.
The other doramas ranked the following: 4th – Kaibutsu-kun; 5th – Mother; 6th – Rinjo 2; 7th – Dosokai; 8th – Yankee-kun to Megane-cha; 9th – IRIS, 10th – Shinzanmono. All seven doramas only received around 200 to 300 votes.
The mobile blog portal wanted to know a few more details about how much their members are able to relate to doramas and their characters. First of all they've asked them whether a dorama character has ever influenced their own behaviors or life in general. Surprisingly two out of three answered that they've been influenced a little (47%) or even a lot (19%). Then they've asked them whether they have ever been able to empathy with a character and this time 84% of them said yes (50% – a little; 34% – a lot).
The results might be no surprise looking at the demographic of this survey. 924 of the 1219 people who have answered the questions were women. Only 10 teenagers and 236 in their twenties took part in the survey. People in their thirties consumed the biggest part of the demographic with a total of 564 submitted responses.
