Today Fuji TV announced that there would be another live-action special of the national anime "Sazae-san" this summer.
Last year's special starring Mizuki Alisa (33) was so successful (20.9%) that they decided to do another episode with her this year. The cast consisting of 4 generations of actors worked really well together as well. Mizuki about the role, "I studied the voice of Kato Midori, the voice actress of Sazae-san, a lot and it made me really happy when she herself said that my voice is really similar to hers."
There will be no changes in the cast. Tsutsui Michitaka (39) will play the husband Masuo, Kataoka Tsurutaro (55) will play her father Namihei and Takeshi Keiko (56) will play her mother Fune.
In the new episode this summer the Isasaka family will finally make an appearance as well and so there added a few new people to the cast (pic below). Isasaka Nanbutsu will be played by scriptwriter Mitani Koki (48). Toda Keiko (52) will play his wife Karu and Kurashina Kana (22) will play their daughter Ukie. Mitani himself already had the chance to write a few scripts for the anime early in his career and is especially eager to appear in its live-action adaption.
