Young actress Fukuda Saki (19) spent the last few months practicing for her play "Tsubaki, Tokitobi" and today the Meijiza Theater in Tokyo finally raised its curtains for the first public performance.
After the first performance Fukuda had a short interview with the press. "I'm truly relieved that the opening day is finally over," she commented while wearing the beautiful kimono that can be seen during the play as well. Next month she will turn 20, so this year was her last summer in her teens. "It feels like summer passed by in no time. I haven't got the time to do fireworks and stuff like that…," she revealed with a sad expression, but that doesn't mean she didn't enjoy this summer. "I can fully enjoy this summer together with the staff and the rest of the cast."
Furthermore she expressed her disappointment about the lack of love elements in the story of the play. About her personal love life she said, "In my twenties I finally want to meet a nice person and discover love."
"Tsubaki, Tokitobi" will be performed at the Meijiza Theater until August 29.
