Young actress and winner of last year's "National Beautiful Girl Contest", Kudo Ayano (14) put on a yukata and visited the office of Sankei Sports (Sanspo) to promote her first movie "Kaidan Restaurant" that will open on August 21.
"It's my first time working as an actress and I tried to do it with the utmost effort. I still can't believe that I'm able to see myself on the big screen." If she had to grade her own performance, she would give it a score of 70 points. "There is still a lot of room for improvements," she answered.
Kudo is currently in the 2nd year of junior high school and lives in Miyazaki where she attends school as well. The fact that she often has to travel to Tokyo for work doesn't really seem to bother her yet. "I love school and I love work! On the plane to Tokyo (and back) my feelings always switches between those two," she explained it cheerfully. Very soon Kudo is also going to start her voice training and prepare for a possible singing career in the future as well.
Since last year's contest her height increased by 3 centimeters, but that's not the only growth she is going through right now. "I've never had such an intense year before. From now on I'd like to tackle a lot more different challenges as well."
The movie "Kaidan Restaurant" starring Kudo will open on August 21.
