Another day, another episode in the reality drama of actress Sawajiri Erika, written and directed by journalists and tabloids.
After the "reconciliation" and "Taiwan" rumor yesterday, the daily newspaper and online news site Sankei Sports (Sanspo) apparently got contacted by a close friend of Sawajiri who revealed that she's actually still in Tokyo where she is receiving medical treatment for what seems to be worse than just a simple cold with high fever as reported one month ago.
The big "turmoil" about the actress began when she had to cancel a PR-Event due to high fever on the 21st last month and had not been seen in public since then. Tabloids soon started to interpret it as "hiding from the public" due to her recent controversial interview with CNN, but her friend clarified that her physical condition really suddenly changed for the worse one day before the said PR-Event.
Since then she has been receiving medical treatment at a hospital in Tokyo and is currently staying at a friend's place to improve her condition. Stress seems to be the main reason for her bad shape, according to her doctor.
Her friend also commented about the article of one certain evening tabloid that claimed to have spotted Sawajiri together with her soon-to-be ex-husband in Taiwan and started the "reconciliation" rumor. "That must have been another person. She is also absolutely not going to reconcile with Takashiro," that person told Sanspo and further revealed that Sawajiri still seems to have a strong desire to comeback as an actress. However, she wants to make her own decisions and doesn't want to tie herself to one specific agency with a contract. It's not clear whether that means that she is still going to sign with Avex or not, but at least it contradicts the "retiring as actress" rumors that have surfaced today as well.
The popular tabloid "FRIDAY" is going to cover yet another story about Sawajiri tomorrow, so let's wait and see what rumors are going to pop up next.
