After snatching two awards for her newest song “Toilet no Kamisama” at the Japan Record Awards 2010, singer-songwriter Uemura Kana more than deserveed to finally get invited to this year’s “Kouhaku Uta Gassen.” Today it has also been announced the TBS is going to produce a drama special based on the song, starring Kitano Kii (19), Ashida Mana (6) and Iwashi Tashima (69).

“Toilet no Kamisama” is an almost 10-minute-long song which Uemura dedicated to her late grandmother.

Model and actress Sasaki Nozomi appeared in a cute Santa outfit at kitson Japan in Harajuku, Tokyo and turned on the lights of their Christmas trees at a small PR-Event.

At the event Sasaki also promoted kitson’s new tote bag that will only be available during the Christmas season as well as her new single “Jin Jin Jingle Bell feat. Pentaphonic.” About the bag and her song she commented, “I love such small bags! The song is perfect for this season and I hope that many people will listen to it and sing it at the karaoke.”

Young actress Kawashima Umika (16) will star in her first drama called “Heaven’s Flower” next season, a romantic mystery in which she is going to disguise herself as an emotionless female assassin. It’s her first role that is not about a pure and innocent young girl.

“There is pressure as well, but first of all I’m looking forward to this role. I’ve always wanted to play an evil role!” she said. The role will also require a couple of action scenes about which she commented, “I’m going to receive some action training before the filming, because there will even be scenes with pistols and knifes.” Yet she didn’t seem to be nervous at all and added enthusiastically, “I hope and think that I will be able to show you a new side of me.”

Two beauties from the Akita prefecture, actress Kato Natsuki and model/actress Sasaki Nozomi have been chosen as the new PR-Ambassadors to create a better image of the prefecture.

Akita is currently trying to boost up its image with various campaigns.

Softbank’s extremely popular and funny “White Family” commercial series starring Kai-kun the dog as the father, actress Ueto Aya as the daughter and more is back with a new story.

The very first seconds already showcase that the newest theme and story will be on a very large scale. The MASA (referring to the NASA) discovers a huge meteorite not too far away that is rushing towards earth. Meanwhile Aya (Ueto) does her usual work at the Softbank shop, when she unintentionally raises her left hand. At the same time the father (Kai-kun) is at home, restlessly moving around the rouse, showing that something seems to make his nervous.

Actress Fukada Kyoko (27) and comedienne Kuwabata Rie (34) might belong to the same agency, but they try everything to avoid each other.

Reporters asked if she would like to perform on “Kouhaku Uta Gassen” in the future, but she was already too embarrassed to sing at the small PR-Event. “I’m getting so nervous that I can’t sing,” she said. “Doing a live performance is still a bit… .
