After snatching two awards for her newest song “Toilet no Kamisama” at the Japan Record Awards 2010, singer-songwriter Uemura Kana more than deserveed to finally get invited to this year’s “Kouhaku Uta Gassen.” Today it has also been announced the TBS is going to produce a drama special based on the song, starring Kitano Kii (19), Ashida Mana (6) and Iwashi Tashima (69).

“Toilet no Kamisama” is an almost 10-minute-long song which Uemura dedicated to her late grandmother.

“Nagareboshi” preview screening and press conference

Today was preview screening and press conference for Fuji TV’s upcoming Monday drama “Nagareboshi” starring Ueto Aya (25) and Takenouchi Yutaka (39).

Ueto is rumored to be in a relationship with EXILE’s leader HIRO (41) and all the reporters wanted to get a comment from her, but during the press conference she didn’t answer any questions related to the rumor and just kept on smiling. At another PR-Event for “Uniqlo” today, her senior Yonekura Ryoko (35) was also asked about their relationship, but she didn’t really seem to know about it either. [...]

Today was the premiere for Karina’s (26) new movie “Love Come” and the main cast and director attended a stage greeting event at the Wald-9 theater in Shinjuku, Tokyo. It’s story is a romantic comedy about a beautiful but very strong-minded woman (Karina) who reunites and ends up falling in love with a softy (Tanaka Kei) who she has not seen for 17 years.

Karina about her role, “She might have some traits of an old man, but she’s still a woman. You can see her more feminine side in front of men or when she’s crying her eyes out. I’ve tried to express that character gap to the best of my abilities.” [...]

Today was the press conference for the romantic comedy “Love Come” starring actress Karina (26) in her first movie leading role since 2004.

Karina will play the role of a manager of a flower arrangement shop, who has not had a boyfriend in nearly two years. Despite her feminine beauty, she can be described as one of the “most frightening woman”. She is reunited with an awkward anime screenwriter, played by Tanaka Kei (26), 17 years after they last met.
