Today VOGUE NIPPON awarded the most active and outstanding women of the year with the “6th VOGUE NIPPON Women of the Year 2010″ award. Ishihara Satomi (actress), Kuroki Meisa (actress/singer), Kusakari Tamiyo (actress), Terajima Shinobu (actress), Kato Miriya (artist), Kimiko Date Krumm (tennis player), Saibara Rieko (mangaka) and TAO (fashion model) all had the honor to receive the unique award designed by architect Nakamura Ryuji.

Ishihara appeared at the event in a cute green minidress and said, “This year was a big turning point for me. I’ve experienced the pain of losing, but also the importance and joy of winning.” [...]

Today it was announced that BShi (NHK) will air a special featuring actress/singer Kuroki Meisa (22) called “Kuroki Meisa Spain Flamenco” in which she is going to learn dancing the flamenco in Spain.

Last month the talented young actress already bewitched her fans with various amazing dance performances during her first solo concert, but this time she had to try out a completely different dance. Tomorrow the new commercial for “Daiwa House”, Japan’s largest homebuilder, starring actor Yakusho Koji (54) will finally go on air and continue exactly where the previous commercial left off.

In the previous commercial, “Heroine The 1st” the fictional staff of the commercial requested Yakusho to wear the costume of their new image character “Daiwa Woman”. Obviously he was dumbfounded by their unreasonable request to wear the costume of a female character and refused to try it one. The staff then asked him who else if not him is going to do it and he said, “Why not someone like Kuroki Meisa?” The staff responds, “You really love her, huh?” It ended after that, but in the new commercial, “Heroine The 2nd” we can see that Kuroki actually accepted the love call and puts on the costume, even though her manager (in the commercial) also refused the costume at first.
